House Bill aims to Change IRS Independent Contractor Status
National Electrical Contractors Association

H.R. 5804 is a proposed amendment to change the rules relating to the treatment of individuals as independent contractors or employees and for other purposes.  The NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) have been working hard with federal legislators to change a 1968 law which would allow companies to classify field workers as employees rather than independent contractors.
